A couple of emerging artists’ grants from the Australia Council for the Arts are due soon.

ArtStart – $10,000, due 3 Feb 2014.

For Australian residents only. Individuals who are creating art (including music). Who have just finished study in 2011, 2012, or 2013. Money is to be used to help develop a sustainable arts career.

Early Career Residencies, due 24 Feb 2014.

For Australian residents only. For artists in the first five years of their professional practic. Money is to be used for a residency with a host organisation, to develop your skills and arts practice in the context of working with an organisation.
